Edward is the Managing Partner and head of Corporate/Commercial Practice team. Edward has regularly advised local and international clients on various aspects of Corporate and Commercial Laws practice including Oil and Gas, Mergers and Acquisition, Regulatory and Compliance issues, Shipping and Maritime. He is a renowned M&A adviser, he leads the corporate training, PPP Transaction Structuring Services, Strategy, Needs Assessments Consulting, Tax and Corporate Finance team of the firm.
Edward advised HLSI on the Federal Ministry of Transport/HLSI Deep Blue Project contract which is the largest investment and foremost innovation ever in the Nigerian Maritime Domain Awareness and Deep blue economy project in Nigeria. He also advised CRCC in the CRCC/ Federal Ministry of Transport – Abuja-Itapke-Warri Railway Line, and the Warri Sea Port, and related infrastructure projects proposed in partnership with the federal Government of Nigeria under Public Private Partnerships. Edward Pepple has a considerable experience in the public sector haven served as executive chairman, Bonny Local Government Areas Council for two tenures. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the International Bar Association and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK and an alumni of the London Business School (Meggers and Acquisitions).
Achinike is a Partner and Head, Dispute Resolution Practice of Edward & William Law Firm. He is actively involved litigation and in Crime Control and Prevention, especially Money Laundry, Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes; a Consultant in Compliance (Process and Procedure); Due Diligence and Corporate Governance.
Between October 2007 to May 2015 he consulted for the former Governor of Rivers State on Process Compliance, Due Diligence, Documentation and related matters. He also consults majorly on and provides Corruption and Bribery Risk Assessments for Government Agencies, Private Corporations and Organisations.
Achinike is also interested in providing Legal Services on Public Private Partnership, Investment Law, Construction Law, including Infrastructure Funding, Investment Profiling, Structuring, Concession, etc. He provides General Legal Service (GLS), consultancy and advisory on: Taxation, Maritime, Sports and Entertainment, Medical, ICT and Aviation Laws.
He is a Notary Public, authorised by the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He holds a Master of Laws Degree in Criminal Law and Practice and is currently pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Money Laundry, Anticorruption and Financial Crimes Law
GREEN Promise graduated with LL. B from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2010. Prior to his being called to the Bar, he obtained a Bachelor of Science (B. Sc) degree in Political Science and administrative studies and a Master of Science (M. Sc) degree in Development Studies both from the University of Port Harcourt. Subsequently, he obtained a Master of Arts (M.A) degree in law and diplomacy from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt.
Before joining the law firm in 2011, Green worked with Daewoo Nigerian Limited. (DN 34), a leading engineering and construction multinational company involved in the oil and gas/construction industry as an industrial relations officer for a period spanning a decade.
Green, has brought on his inter-disciplinary background, insights and numerous years of experience as an industrial relations practitioner into the labour and industrial law practice of the firm. He has shown proficiency in corporate, commercial and property law practice, and special interest in Technology and intellectual property law, dispute resolution as well as corporate governance. In the course of practice in these areas, he has yielded practical and worthwhile legal opinions that brought value to the firm’s work.
Green has participated in some notable legal practice development seminars and trainings bordering on advocacy and litigation procedures of diverse jurisdictions, constitutional law and securitization/structured financing to widen his scope and enhance his depth in multi sectors of law practice. An accomplished scholar with sufficient interest in writing on multiple subjects, Green is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Bar Association.
Christy was admitted to practice in 2012 and has an extensive experience in Litigation, Oil and Gas/Energy Sector advisories, Real Estate, Tax and Infrastructure Finance and Constitutional/Human Right law. Christy was part of the team that successfully argued a 55 Million suit against the Nigerian Police in 2013.
Christy is a line Head in the forma land informal Sector Tax Advisory Services. She is an efficient team player with strong zeal to produce results. She possesses a high-level ability to perform tasks under significant pressures. Christy is a graduate of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Rivers State, 2010. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Young Lawyers Forum and the International Bar Association.
Obele is a young and highly motivated lawyer with a wide and considerable experience advising clients on the establishment of businesses, foreign investment and the oil ang gas sectors. Obele has participated in various governance and compliance advisories and have supported both local and international clients in their transactions.
She regularly provides advice on regulatory compliance to investors particularly in the oil and gas sector. Obele is an innovative lawyer with a keen interest in research and in intellectual law practice, Property law, Business Law, Real Estate and Matrimonial Advisory Practice. She is considered as a Compelling negotiator and an efficient mediator. Obele Pepple obtained her LL. B from Rivers State University and a BL from the Nigerian Law School, Bwari in 2016.orkshops
